FIEP aims to promote an innovative and active reflection on the different forms of police cooperation among gendarmeries and police forces with military status.

As an international association, FIEP provides a framework where member forces can exchange experience, share knowledge and strengthen mutual understanding. Its purpose is to support cooperation between institutions that, despite belonging to different countries, share similar organizational models, operational responsibilities and public security challenges.

The Association also seeks to promote the value of the gendarmerie-type model abroad: a model based on military status, discipline and organization, combined with police duties and public security missions.
