From June 30 to July 3, 2025, the fourth and final committee of the French presidency of the FIEP took place in Bucharest, Romania. Bringing together gendarmerie forces from many countries, including France, this commission was an opportunity to address the impact and challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) for gendarmerie-type forces in the organization of the service.
The district of Célestins, in Paris, headquarters of the Republican Guard, hosted, from 27 to 28 May 2025, the third working commission of FIEP, the association of the world’s gendarmeries. Focusing on the technological challenges of AI for gendarmerie forces, this commission brought together delegations from fifteen countries.
